Your choice
Cookie policy
The session cookie is required for the site to work securely. Analytics is optional. When advertising is enabled, advertising consent is managed separately through Google Privacy & messaging.
Strictly necessary storage
The si_session cookie supports CSRF protection, sign-in, service notices and secure form processing. It is HttpOnly, SameSite=Lax and Secure over HTTPS. Some forms and account features cannot work reliably without it.
Theme, favourites and recently used tools are kept in localStorage on your device. Language is determined by the URL and, for an account, its saved preference. These values are not used for advertising or cross-site tracking.
Optional analytics
When Google Analytics is configured, its script is not requested before valid analytics-storage consent. Without active advertising, the local banner records the choice. With advertising active, we use the Google Privacy & messaging analytics status when it is available and configured; otherwise we fall back to the local banner.
The analytics provider may store its own identifiers and process data under its terms. This category is therefore disabled by default.
Advertising and Google Privacy & messaging
If the operator enables Google AdSense, the Auto ads tag loads only on eligible public pages. Google Privacy & messaging displays the applicable message and passes TCF and Consent Mode signals. A Google-certified CMP is used in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland.
Google and other advertising providers may use cookies or other local storage for ad delivery, frequency control, measurement, security and, only where permitted, personalisation based on prior visits to this or other websites. Google’s message lists the current providers, purposes and retention. You can opt out of personalised advertising through “Advertising privacy settings” or at adssettings.google.com. Refusal does not block the tools.
Changing your choice
Open “Cookie settings” in the footer to accept or reject analytics. When advertising is active, the separate “Advertising privacy settings” button reopens Google’s message once its API is ready. Neither choice is used as a substitute for the other.
We store only the general preference, its version and change time so the banner does not appear on every visit. We do not use pre-ticked fields or hide the reject action.
